St. Pius X High School in Houston, Texas believes in supporting the “new tools” of education. This includes bringing personal laptops or tablets to class, a full IT support staff onsite and an online global academy in partnership with ASU Prep Global.
Inspired by Veritas, meaning “truth” in Latin, high school students at St. Pius X are welcomed with a robust and meaningful curriculum that encourages service, in-person collaboration and the use of modern technology. In fact, 9th-12th grade students are required to bring a personal laptop or tablet to school to research and present their work, as well as participate in additional learning opportunities through a global academy implemented by ASU Prep Global.
Students and faculty at St. Pius X High School have access to online core classes, online elective options and online AP classes for college credit, as well as one-on-one coaching with a certified online educator and education tools and tips that they can access at any time. Their customized global academy provides online learning options for all grade levels and encourages students to interact, collaborate and have fun with the full support of their teachers and administration.
Prayer, study, community and preaching are the four pillars at St. Pius X High School. With the global academy through ASU Prep Global, our ‘study’ pillar has reached the highest interaction we’ve seen. Students are engaged, collaborating, and most importantly, they’re learning valuable life skills.
ASU Prep and St. Pius X High School worked together to build a digital school program with nearly 571 students participating in courses like algebra, biology, chemistry, geometry, and more.
