Lisa Edgar

Chief Partnership Officer

Lisa Edgar is passionate about finding creative ways to break into traditional school constructs and find ways to bring personalized learning solutions to schools through partnership and collaboration with ASU. Her background is teaching history and has since lead teams of educators through leveraging technology to personalize learning and blend classrooms. She now leads ASU Prep Digital’s partnership team which finds innovative ways to collaborate with schools around the world.
Amber Morrow

Executive Director of Arizona Partnerships

Amber guides herself with the belief that all students can achieve at the highest levels, regardless of their background or circumstances. She believes in integrating a comprehensive educational experience that advances students, and tackling gaps in the education system by establishing practices that are flexible and adaptable to each new phase of the school years ahead. She operates with the commitment that positive partnerships can create a strong impact in serving a community- by increasing academic, health, social, and emotional support for students, schools and districts. In her down time, Amber enjoys spending time with her 3 children and the outdoors.
Lindsay Carr

Partnership Account Manager

Lindsay Carr joined ASU Prep Digital in 2018. In her current role as a Partnership Account Manager, Lindsay launches and sustains national and international partnerships to provide learners across the United States and the world with access to teachers, expanded course offerings, and opportunities to earn college credits through Arizona State University. Prior to this role, Lindsay taught electives courses, served as the Lead Teacher for the Electives Department, and was awarded Teacher of the Year at ASU Prep Digital in 2021-2022. She earned a B.A. in Psychology and M.S. in Applied Psychology from Angelo State University. She is certified to teach in Arizona and Utah. Lindsay spends her free time with her husband, Joel, and son, Triston. She loves being outdoors either running, swimming, or reading.
Kate Castleman

Partnership Operations Manager

This march I celebrated 5 years with ASU Prep! I started as an Admissions Advisor and have transitioned to Partnership Operations Manager. ASU Prep partners with schools close to home in Arizona, but also other states and countries. Learning about our partnership schools and students in all areas of the world is fascinating. It is easily the best part of my job.

Angela Zhao

Director of International Programming

Angela joined ASU Prep Digital as the Director for International Programs in 2020. She brought with more than 9 years of experiences on strategic projects management that lead to ASU’ s deeper global involvement with more than 80 university partners. Previously, Angela was the marketing director for Chegg China (Beijing), managing all student engagement activities and international recruiting strategies for over 300 universities worldwide using social media and online tools. She also worked as the senior marketing manager at Alibaba and Yahoo! in Beijing, responsible for brand expansion, online user acqusition and tradeshows. Working overseas also allowed her to leverage her bicultural and bilingual background to establish large scale global partnerships. Angela has over 11 years of marketing and communication experiences in both U.S. and China.

Christy Cleugh

Director of National Partnerships

31 years of experience in education, 21 of those specifically in online learning. 3 years at ASUPD. Christy Cleugh is an avid proponent of personalized online learning opportunities. In her work with ASU Prep Digital, as a National Partnership Director, she loves to work collaboratively with school leaders and partners to create customized solutions for each district and partner. Working consultatively with school leaders enables Christy to utilize her extensive background in teaching, learning, and leading in both brick and mortar and online/hybrid environments. Masters in Psychology, EdD in Learning Technologies, Masters in Educational Leadership, Multiple subject teaching credential with bilingual bicultural certification, BA in Ethnic Studies, Minor in Spanish. Love anything outside- trail runs, paddleboarding, beach runs, sun, hiking. Love travel and exploring wine regions.

Krista Parrott

National Partnership Development Coordinator

Krista Parrott has over twelve years of experience in recruiting, lead generation, account management, and marketing. She graduated from Cal Poly, SLO, with a BS in Ag. Science and a double minor in Communication and Business. In March 2021 Krista joined ASUPD as the National Partnership Development Coordinator. In this role she has the honor of collaborating with school leaders around the U.S. Krista and her husband, Ryan, are raising three children, Kinley, Claire, and Blake. You can often find Krista and her family on the beaches in California or in the mountains of Oregon.

Mary O’Malley

Director of Arizona K-12 and Community Partnerships

Mary O’Malley is the Director of Arizona K-12 and Community Partnerships for ASU Prep Digital, with a focus on serving tribal, rural, and opportunity youth. Mary teaches online courses for Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College at Arizona State University, in addition to serving on the Arizona Foster Care Review Board and Opportunities for Youth board. She has a B.A. from Indiana University, Bloomington, IN, and a M.Ed. Arizona State University, Tempe, AZ.
For fun, Mary loves to travel, go to the lake/beach, and hopes to be on “Jeopardy” someday!

Teresa King

Executive Director of Partnership Success

Almost 20 years ago, Teresa King began her career in virtual education when she left her terrestrial classroom behind to teach online instead. She has never looked back. Compelled to broaden student access to opportunity, Teresa has been a virtual district research manager, an online principal, and a global program leader overseeing curriculum and instruction provided to students in over 50 countries. She has been an invited speaker on virtual school funding models and presented nationally on student achievement research in online environments, literacy strategies to serve digital learners, and best practice in state-level online education policy. Teresa currently serves as Executive Director of Partnership Success at ASU Prep Digital.

Rachel Maleski

Principal, ASU Prep Global

Rachel Maleski is a veteran educator with K-12 experience in three states as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, teacher mentor, dean of students, and administrator. As principal of the Global Academy at ASU Prep, Rachel ensures that the instructional team delivers robust and personalized learning experiences for all students, and that students are equipped with the skills necessary to allow them to serve their communities locally and globally. A native of Philadelphia, PA, Rachel currently lives in Pittsburgh, PA with her husband, two kids, and two pugs. When away from her work at ASU Prep, Rachel enjoys reading, baking, and exploring unique places near and far.

Shannon Moberly

Director of Partnership Operations

Shannon Moberly is the Director of Partnership Operations. Her job focuses on managing partnerships, coordinating implementations, overseeing finances, and cultivating stakeholder relationships. Shannon has 14 years of experience in education and over 7 years at ASU Prep Digital. She holds a bachelor’s in Secondary Education from ASU and a master’s in Educational Leadership from NAU. In her free time, she cherishes quality time with her husband Dan and their two children, Desmond and Fiona.

John Watson

Advisor

John Watson is the founder of the Evergreen Education Group, which for 24 years has been a leading consulting and advisory firm serving school districts, state agencies, foundations, and companies in the K-12 digital learning field. John has led Evergreen’s creation of both the Digital Learning Annual Conference and the Digital Learning Collaborative, as well as planning and implementing the Resilient Schools Project helping districts respond to COVID-19 related instructional challenges. John writes regularly about various issues related to digital learning and is a contributing author of the Handbook of Research on K-12 Online and Blended Learning. His and Evergreen’s work have been cited in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Education Week, and eSchool News, and he has also appeared on NBC Nightly News. He has submitted invited testimony to state legislatures, state boards of education, charter school commissions, and other government agencies.
John Bailey

Advisor

John’s experience has spanned government, philanthropy, and the private sector, working on a range of issues, including AI, technology, workforce development, economic mobility, COVID-19 response, climate technology, and behavioral health. He currently serves as a fellow at the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative and a Non-Resident Senior Fellow at the American Enterprise Institute. As a domestic policy advisor in the White House, John coordinated the Bush Administration's efforts during the credit crisis to stabilize $200 billion in student loans and served as a negotiator for the reauthorization of the Trade Adjustment Assistance program. He served as the Deputy Policy Director to the U.S. Secretary of Commerce, where he contributed to the first national pandemic preparedness strategy and worked on policies related to American competitiveness and comprehensive immigration reform. He also served as the nation's second Director of Educational Technology at the U.S. Department of Education. John currently serves on the board of directors for Zearn Math, the Federation of American Scientists, U.S. Digital Response, and American Policy Ventures. He also serves on advisory boards for Trustible.ai and the Tech Talent Project.
